As a nail tech I’m not mad at this at all, I absolutely love what I do and being an outlet for others is a blessing. I’m constantly hearing the highs and also the lows from clients and what I always tell them is the importance of self-care and taking care of yourself before the needs of others.

It may sound selfish but think about it…whenever your on an airplane the first thing they tell you to do is mask yourself before anyone else. How can you help others if you’re not properly situated to do so? Now, you understand the meaning.

Self-Care

Getting your nails, hair and lashes done isn’t just about looking beautiful but also how it makes you feel. Although beauty services can be costly it doesn’t mean that you don’t deserve to have them done. There are things you can do yourself at home, to help make sure it isn’t breaking the bank for you in todays rising economy.

Treat yourself to a mani/pedi once a month or diy at home. There are so many resources online for you to learn the basics of what you need for a cute set of nails, whether its press-ons, gelx, or a quick paint job. A fresh coat of color goes along way.

Relax

While stress may be at top of mind, especially for the busy working women and SAHM of the world just know your options aren’t limited when it comes to self-care. Find what helps you keep stress away. Whether it’s using journaling practices to express the day you’ve had in words on paper. Creating a skincare routine you never skip and make time for because you deserve to be pampered whether you’re at home or at a spa. Maybe your just throwing on the perfect playlist to help you zone out and dance to move your body and deep clean.

We all have our ways of finding our own Girl Therapy. It’s important now more than ever to turn off the switch to the world and find your outlet of what helps you feel good, relax and take care of yourself no matter the outlet you choose.
