How To: Building Clientele

You feel like you’re doing all the right things, but you still have an empty chair with no clients to fill it. I’ve been there too, which is why I am going to tell you my secret sauce to building the type of clientele you want!

The Process

No one said it was going to be a straight path or smooth sailing. If your here to take notes then you’re in the right place, especially if you utilize the resources you have all around you. Nails and beauty is something you are passionate about, so doing the work to get to where you want to be shouldn’t feel like work because you love it. Imagine your higher self of where you want to be in your beauty journey and you will get there and reach places you had no idea was possible.

How To Get Clients

You are your own walking billboard my friend so if your walking around with your nails not done and your picking up a coffee from a local shop in your area, how will the barista know that you can do nails if your not walking around with your own work on your hands? Throughout my career Word Of Mouth advertisement and also me having my nails done constantly was what helped grow my business.

Set yourself apart in your area, what makes you different from the other 6 salons that may be in the same area as you? Is it your services your offering, the products your using, maybe your the only person who offers waterless pedicures. The list can go on how you can dominate the area your in so clients always want to make sure they’re in your chair. The list below are what has helped me gain clients.

  • Customer service- Always remain patient, kind and mindful of your guest

  • Post Regularly- Clients in your area need to see your work so use your geo tag location when posting in your area.

  • Prebook- Always make sure your client has 1-2 follow up appointments before they leave your chair so you know they’ll be back in the future

  • Consistency- Give your clients the best service every single time or they will find someone else who always gives their best

  • Have Fun- This is an art. Experiment try new things on clients and offer them at a discount, clients love fun new ideas.

Remember to find something that sets you apart from others around you. Always be teachable because this industry is always evolving. Trust me I don’t have clients that have been with me my entire nail journey for nothing lol I have some pretty loyal OG clients that have been along this nail journey with me for 10 years!

Its always a blessing to have a friend visit your blog, so thank you for taking the time to read along. Don’t forget to drop a comment so I know you stopped by.
