Mexico Places To Stay

I heard you were in charge of planning the next girls trip or maybe your just really ready to get away, so I wanted to make sure I helped you out. Mexico is my second home and I love when my husband finds the cutest places to stay so I figured I would share them with you.

Where To Stay..

Do you prefer a hotel or an Airbnb? I personally love both! I’ll give you what I like about each one and also when I prefer to stay in either one. Now keep in mind my perspective is from someone enjoying the amenities. My husband handles all of the back end work and planning it takes to plan the trips. In his words “ I set the scene” so lets talk about the difference in an Airbnb compared to a hotel.

“1st time staying in Airbnb-Iceland. (so creeped out) Loved the place super cute and high tech but perfect for our first Airbnb experience. Cuddling in a snow storm, during a Valentines weekend celebration together.”

Differences In Airbnb to Hotel.

Hotel- Someone helps you check in at the desk and gives you the keys. Unlimited white towels when you want a fresh one. Check in is between a certain time. Hotel guest so keep the noise volume limited.

Airbnb- Lock box or keys left in a secure box with a code for you to get in. Towels may be limited, just to play it safe always bring your own face towel. Check in as soon as you arrive with no arrival time needed. Privacy which means you can play your 90s & 2000s R&B hits all night with no noise complaints.

“Just to name a few differences but of course feel free to research on your own personal time.”

Location

After you’ve figured out whether you prefer a hotel or an Airbnb, now its time to decide what area you will be staying in.

How to get to location? shuttle or rental (safety first, Have it handled before you get to your destination and don’t book it when you arrive)

  • Cancun-Airport

  • Playa Del Carmen

  • Tulum-my favorite place to stay

Tulum has my heart so I will always want to stay in that area, it feel like another home every time I visit there. I’ve stayed in 3 different areas while visiting Mexico.

Ready To Have Fun

You have where your staying and hopefully you already have a group of friends/ family you can call that are always down for a vacation. Even if you don’t solo trips are always nice too. Mexico is a place where you can go time and time again and have a different experience and fun each time. Its truly what you make it. I hope you found this article helpful for planning your next trip to Mexico. Feel free to pin it and share it with a friend who has always wanted to go to Mexico and just simply couldn’t execute.
